Linh Truong:
Linh’s style of photography and videography makes me feel like I’m in the happiest contemporary novel of all time. Her pallet of peachy pinks, golden yellows and cool blues is a throwback to the ‘Summer of Love’. She is a style icon, looking like the coolest librarian you could ever meet. Her impeccable taste expands beyond her clothes, she reads a solid mixture of classics, YA and adult fiction, I always find myself adding to my TBR after watching a video by her. Overall, there is nothing more I would like then to sit down with her at a cafe, chat about our favorite books and become kindred spirits.
Jesse the Reader
The first book YouTuber I ever watched, Jesse has a special place in my heart. His creativity and energy shines through every videos. I get told all the time that reading is boring and Jesse was the first to show me how fun it is to love talking about book, to love reading them and to love writing about them. I am still a little salty about not being able to say hi to him after he hosted a Sarah J. Mass meet in greet in 2016 that I attended.
Quatier du livres
A recent love of mine. As a student of the French language I enjoy watching her channel to help me better grasp the language. She tackles books that range from classics to YA, and her happiness draws me into every video, even if I don’t always know what she’s saying. Merci pour mon chaine YouTube, c’est très geniel et aussi j’adore Kaz Brekker, il est l’amour pour ma vie.
Peruseproject
Reagan’s adorable bookish pictures always inspire me to hit the shelves. I love the vibrancy of her colors not only in photos but in clothes and personality. She shows me that I don’t need to blog about one thing, I get to write about what ever I want, whether that would be music and sports (as if!) or art and food, or in her case books and clothing. She is wholesomely herself and it’s beautiful.
Insane reader
A very recent favorite, I stumbled up on his videos while watching other booktubers. What drew me in was the complete hilarity of his attitude. He makes me laugh and brings back the absurd fun it is to read. I read a lot of heavy nonfictions or/and realistic fiction, so the reminder that reading is suppose to be fun is a blessing. Another thing I enjoy about him is his aspirations to be a writer. As a wanna-be-author myself, I appreciate his ability to laugh at himself and his old writing and yet learn and develop as a writer from his mistakes and the books he reads. He is the kind of writing buddy I need to brutally tear apart my short stories.
